www.bestfriends.org

nation’s largest sanctuary for
abandoned and abused animals.

never are fewer than 1,700 dogs,
cats, horses, bunnies, birds and
other homeless animals being
cared for in this incredible
place. But the work doesn’t stop
there. Through its national “No
More Homeless Pets” program,
Best Friends is reaching out to

countless cities across the

own.
The Animal Rescue Site
www.theanimalrescuesite.com
The Animal Rescue Site (www.theanimalrescuesite.com)
was founded to help feed and
care for some of the 27 million
unwanted animals given to
shelters in the US every year.
Since its launch in July of
2002, the site has established
itself as a clear leader in
online activism and a dynamic
force in the effort to give all
animals the happy, healthy lives
they deserve. In The Animal
Rescue Site's first year of
operation, 22.9 million bowls of
food were funded for animals in
need.
Come, Sit, Stay Canine Etiquette
www.thedogspeaks.com
Often, it’s not the dog that is
at fault when things go wrong.
Yet each year thousands of dogs
wind up in shelters or rescue
programs, looking for new homes
because their owners failed to
recognize what their pet was
trying to tell them. Deb Duncan,
nationally known canine behavior
specialist, has helped countless
people and their pets get to the
bottom of behavior issues
through effective training and
retraining techniques, and the
many comprehensive articles
available on her website are
bound to offer new insight no
matter how experienced or
inexperienced a pet owner you
may be.
